From Russia with Love ?

Rachmaninov Vespers
Friday 21st October in Hereford Cathedral at 8pm
Saturday 22nd October in the Catholic Church, Abergavenny at 8pm

The highlight of 2005 was Unicorn's performances of Rachmaninov's magical "Vespers"
for which they linked hands (and voices) with singers from St. Petersburg - the "Voskresenije"

This group of superb professional singers formed the soloists and complemented
the voices of the Unicorn Singers with their fantastic Russian sound.

Summer at St. David's 2005

Unicorn once again sung services at St. David's Cathedral in Pembrokeshire
on the last 4 days of August 2005 (bank holiday weekend 25th to 28th August)

They gave a concert on Saturday 27th August at 12 noon in the Cathedral entitled "Music for Saint Cecilia"

24th April 2005 at 5.30pm.
Festival Evensong at St. Edmund's Church, Crickhowell

Unicorn sang the opening service at this year's Crickhowell Festival "Musical Rendezvous"

The theme of the service was "Music - the Thanksgiving Breath" and celebrated music's special ability to communicate.

Anthems: "O Clap your Hands" (Vaughan Williams)
& Britten's wonderful setting of Auden's "Ode to St. Cecilia" - a choral classic.

We also sang Good Friday service at Llangattock Church, Powys

Unicorn led the service of meditation & music for Good Friday
with some sublime settings of the Passion texts by Tallis, Byrd, Purcell, Schutz, Lassus.
